Only 7 companies now offer Compulsory Third Party CTP Green Slips in the
state of NSW, & Real Car
Insurance is not yet one of them. CTP insurance provides legal and medical compensation for people injured by YOUR
own car when yourself
or driver of YOUR car is the driver which is at fault in an auto accident. In

Real Car Insurance doesn't provide Greenslips currently.
Remember that a Green Slip won't provide cover for any personal injury to you,
any drivers
of your vehicle or cover damage other vehicles or property.
The above CTP Green Slips providers have to be licensed by MAA - the Motor Accidents Authority
in order to provide any Green Slip insurance.

Pros: price
Cons: disgaceful afterservice
Overall: Tried on several occasions to get through on the telephone, left on
hold for up to 30 minutes each time before hanging up. I am therefore leaving
REAL, I have better things to do with my time. As for responses previously,
although I accept the increase in calls due to floods, what was the excuse a
year ago whem I had the same thing happen and the girl on the phone said please
do complain, theres only me here and she was sick of the complaints! No email
address or phone number to contact for complaints!
Feb 8, 2011 Pros: PAYD- Pay As You Drive option
Cheap.
Cons: 1, I was using PAYD as I was not using car for work. Later I moved home
and I started using my car. And there was no flexibility to change over to their
standard insurance. And hence PAYD has become expensive to me than a standard
insurance because I have to buy lot of extra kilometers from them.
2, Takes ages to get in touch with someone on phone. Everytime it takes around
30 minutes to get some one on phone. This is the reason I switched to another
insurer.
Overall: Don't take this. Many people say they are not good when you claim.
This might look cheap but there is no point if you cant reclaim your money.

QLD has resulted in excessive demand on our call centre. We have recruited new
staff to cope with this demand and the wait times will be resolved. At Real

Feb 1, 2011 Cons: it is impossible to contact these people, 20 mins on phone and
no response, and I only want to upgrade my card details, god help any one trying
to make a claim, a [censored word removed] company that employs no one to answer
the phone,i`ll be looking elswhere for my re-newalls
Overall: the company is clearly only about getting your money with as little
service as possible glad I didn`t have a claim. ResponseWe are sorry to hear
that you have had such a disappointing experience. As stated previously in the
response below, Real Insurance has recently experienced unprecedented growth and
demand, and this coupled with the recent flooding in QLD has resulted in
